Obituary for
Robert Lute
Robert L. Lute, 82, of Washington, IN passed away on April 19, 2017. He was born on September 20, 1934 in Lansing, IL to Herman and Emma (Kuhnel) Lute. He graduated from Washington High School in 1953. On January 1, 1958, he married the love of his life, Norma S. (Henderson) Lute. He was the owner of Washington Glass for 53 years. He was a long time member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Robert was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge, a member of Kiwannas, a loyal Cubs fan, and also enjoyed running and meeting new people while working the family glass business.
Robert is survived by his wife of 59 years, Norma S. Lute; daughter Cynthia R. Lute of Washington; son John R. Lute of Las Vegas, NV; a special grand niece Sarah Birch (Matt) of Las Vegas, NV; a sister-in-law Lois Lute of Lansing, IL; nephews Lynn Lute of Lansing, IL, and Larry Lute and wife of Fort Wayne, IN; nieces Linda Gumble, and Gail Mahoney (Dennis) of Pahrump, NV; grand nephew, Tim Smith of Las Vegas, NV. He is preceded in death by parents; sister and brother-in-law LaVerne and Ray Wilkens, brother Leonard Lute; and inlaws, Kenneth and LaVora Henderson.
The funeral service for Robert will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1002 ½ NE 6th Street, Washington, IN.
