Obituary for Camilla Ruth Kail (Schnarr)

Camilla Ruth  Kail (Schnarr)
Camilla Ruth Schnarr Kail, 90, of Riverview, Florida, and formerly of Washington, went to her Heavenly Home while at Hospice House in Sun City Center, FL surrounded by her loving daughter and lifetime friends on February 22, 2017 after an 11 week illness. She was born on June 13, 1926 in Daviess County to Philip Fred and Leona (Smith) Schnarr. She was a 1944 graduate of Alfordsville High School. On September 23, 1950 she married Leslie Lee Kail and they were together for 60 years until his death in 2010. During WWII she worked for Reliance Mfg where she made parachutes. She also worked for Smiley Insurance Agency, and then for the Daviess County Treasurer’s Office for 36 years where she retired in 1989. Camilla was a member of Bethel North United Methodist Church (formerly Otterbein United Methodist Church).

Camilla is survived by her daughter Cathy Kail of Riverview, FL; nieces and nephews Philip Scott, Mike Essig, Joe Schnarr, Darla Schnarr Truelove, Patricia Schnarr Hayworth, Donnie Schnarr, Keith DeBord, Fred DeBord, Martha DeBord Briner, Linda DeBord Root, and Gary Kail. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Lee Kail; sisters Bernice Schnarr Gress, Dorothy Schnarr Essig; and brothers Clyde and Leland Schnarr.

The funeral service for Camilla will be held at Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut Street, Washington, IN 47501, on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 12pm with Bro. Richard Smith officiating. Friends may call prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home from 10am-12pm. Interment for Camilla will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery following the service.
