Ruby Lou Chickedantz (White)
Ruby Lou Chickedantz, 84 formerly of Plainville passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016 in Florence. KY. Ruby was born in Washington, IN to the late Henry White and Olive White (Lee) on February 5, 1932.
Ruby loved family time; her grandchildren were the light of her life. Ruby enjoyed working with flowers and having her family over as often as possible for get-togethers.
Survivors include her daughter, Jan Richards and husband of KY; two sons, Rick Jerger and wife of Newburgh, and Shane Jerger of CA; grandchildren, Shawna Sawyer of KY, Hannah Richards KY, Brooke Champine of KY, Ethan Jerger of AZ, Jessica Schmitt of Evansville, and Ryan Jerger of Newburgh; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Reba Timmel, Jenny Dillon, and Ann Stoll; one brother, Robert White; and several nieces and nephews.
Ruby is preceded in death by her granddaughter Lindsey Jerger (twin sister to Brooke Champine) who passed in 1998 after injuries from an ATV accident in Plainville, IN.
The funeral for Ruby will take place Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 2pm at Parkview Christian Church in Plainville, IN. Pastor Alfred Helms will be officiating. Entombment will immediately follow the service at Sugarland Mausoleum in Washington, IN. Friends may call from 11-2 prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
